"May we labor side by side with the Lord of the vineyard, giving the God and Father of us all a helping hand with His staggering task of answering prayers, providing comfort, drying tears, and strengthening feeble knees."
-Jeffrey R. Holland
Ministering vision
What is ministering? What does it mean to minister?
Ministering is learning of and attending to others’ needs. It is doing the Lord’s work. When we minister, we are representing Jesus Christ and acting as His agents to watch over, lift, and strengthen those around us.

What are our responsibilities?
Help families strengthen their faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ
Help families prepare to make and keep sacred covenants with God as they receive ordinances.
Discern needs and provide Christlike love, caring, and service. Offer help and comfort in times of spiritual or temporal need.
Help families become spiritually and temporally self-reliant.
How do we start?
Make contact
Get to know them
Become a friend
Pray for them and for guidance
Minister to them
Maintain the relationship
What is the “pod” system?
Our goal is to make ministering as simple as possible. The pod system is not a different type of ministering, it is just using a new organization of ministering assignments to accomplish the work.
Homes are grouped into “pods” of 3-5 neighboring homes. All members of each household are ministers to each other.
What are the practical considerations?
First and foremost, you are a minister, always and every day.
You minister to all members of your pod.
Priesthood holders provide blessings as needed.
As needs arise in your pod, please work with your fellow pod members to serve and uplift those in need. Please also share any needs with the elders quorum presidency.
Each quarter, a presidency member will hold a ministering interview with you and another brother in your pod.
